Dev Log: The Eyes-Bigger-Than-Stomach Edition

TL/DR: As mentioned past, I don't do this Full-time or Part-time, I do it Spare-time. Trust me when I say I'm grinding away to get the next release out (even worked through my vacation last week).

Long Version:

You know that saying, “Your eyes are bigger than your stomach”? Yeah, that’s me—but with game development. I dream big, bite off more than I can chew, and then spend weeks choking it down with stubborn pride and a side of Mt Dew.
So, I already told you all the images have been remastered and/or rebuilt from scratch. Cool, right? Well, then I thought: "What if I roll my own stat system from scratch too?" Like a fool. A very ambitious fool.
Here’s what I needed my Franken-system to track:
1. Total game days

2. 4 daily time slots (Morning, Noon, Evening, Night — sounds like a shady diner menu)

3. A Fast Forward Time button (because waiting is for suckers)

4. One action per segment (expandable to 5 if I feel spicy)

5. Day of the week (so you know when it’s Game Monday)

6. Battery charge level (because we respect the laws of fake physics)

7. How many times you use the remote before it croaks

8. How many times each poor LI gets zapped per day

9. And for fun? Backgrounds that change with the time of day. Because "aesthetic".

It took way longer than expected. Like, embarrassingly long. But I did it! I even made the system scalable and hint-ready. All of this done in my spare time—aka the hours between “should be sleeping” and “what is sunlight?”
Just as I was coasting toward release day, my muses showed up. Loudly. They screamed ideas at me until I was basically a human printer shooting out story drafts like ticker tape. Now I’ve got enough content sketched for probably the next 3 updates.
So I picked what to shove into the upcoming release (you're welcome) and drew a big ol’ red line in the sand. I’m working my tail off to get it all out the door.
No ETA, because I refuse to jinx it. Just know: it’s coming, it’s juicy, and I haven’t forgotten you.
